This verse brings me back to my university days because this was a topic that came up frequently. So many of the spiritual conversations I had with friends, classmates or even strangers on campus centered around truth. It was a challenge to stand for for the Ultimate Truth when the rest of the campus seemed to be fighting against it. To hear someone say that there is an Absolute Truth was rare. I often question what I am doing, how am I living, what is my life saying to show others that Jesus is the Truth. Everything He did, all the words He said and His very character is absolutely true. We can trust His promises, His guidance and His words because everything about them is true. The next time you're having a hard time trusting God, remember that.
Dear Jesus,
I am so thankful that I can fully lean on You and Your Word because You are The Truth. Thank You that even though the world doesn't believe it, I know that there is an absolute truth, You. Jesus help me to remember that especially when I am having a hard time trusting You. Amen.
